Here at ORS UK we have a strong sense of community both in our team here in the workplace but also the community at large. Our ethos is to lend a helping hand which we adopt with our customers and suppliers alike, but we also apply this to our staff.
As such we like to give people who are finding employment difficult an opportunity. Not only that, we offer them the chance of improving their qualifications and chances of future employment by enrolling them on NVQ or driving courses – in relation to their job roles.
We currently employ 3 young people who have left school with no qualifications and no job prospects, and in addition 2 people who have been serving prison sentences for minor offences, but are being allowed work release days, in order to reintegrate them in a working society.
We feel that by giving these people an opportunity we are putting something back into the local community, and in return we often find these employees to be loyal and hard working. After all most of us just need a little help from time to time.
