Making a sporting impression

• With the development of Europe’s largest purpose built development in 2005/6 for one client well know in the high street – Sportsworld.
• The challenge was to fit out the largest office space we have ever seen.
• Working with the Project Manager the brief was to maximise the number of people who could fit comfortably into this massive area, yet retaining a feeling of belonging for the employees.
• To ensure we had the right product a variety of samples were supplied to the Management team to road test. From this the starting gun was fired and off we went with the job of installation.
• We were delighted to have an input in helping design the reception area  which will be welcoming some of the biggest names in sport, so we had to make the right impression.

Taking the caring approach

• Care UK is a leading independent provider of health and social care solutions and is quoted on the London Stock Exchange. Care UK operates in partnership with PHG providing NHS treatment centres.
• ORS UK were approached to supply and install furniture for both front and back of house, at their new all purpose site in Barlborough.
• We worked closely with the Architects to maximise the floor space and provide CAD drawings of all floor plans prior to installation. An integral part of the planning was ensuring that all health and safety directives were met.
• Care UK, were so happy with our work, we ended up refitting their new head office in Colchester!

1600 desks, 2000 chairs, 850 cupboards – no problem

• Littlewoods PLC, were relocating their Head Office.
• 1600 staff to be relocated over a 6 week period.
• Date for the move was set, and ORS UK had a 2 month time scale to adhere to.
• A detailed “move” plan was developed to ensure that we could meet the deadlines
• 1600 desks, 2000 chairs, 850 cupboards and all other furniture were removed on time (it was a close call) within the 2-month time scale.
• Littlewoods took advantage of our charities and schools disposal program by donating some of their furniture from this project in order that other may benefit.

  Our full service solution

  • Biasi needed to relocate over 40 staff to their new premises in Wednesbury.
  • Proposals and drawings were produced and with more discussion, changed to meet the customers needs.
  • After speaking with the client, we were able to order and then store the furniture until a date was set for the relocation.
  • As part of the ORS UK relocation service we were able to manage their whole move which not only involved providing thier new furniture and CAD drawings, outlining our recommended configurations for each office layout, but also the actual move and installation.
  • Biasi were able to make the most of our full service solution and have also disposed of their old furniture with ORS UK.
